Shane Jeffrey, APD

Session Title: The RAVES Model – A back pocket framework to guide the nutritional management process in eating disorders and non-diet approach

Shane is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian in Australia with 25 years of experience as a dietitian in both the private and public sectors. During this time he has worked almost exclusively in the field of eating disorders and the non-diet approach, establishing himself as a leader in the field both nationally and internationally. Shane is the founder and clinical director at River Oak Health and Food Mind body, private practices dedicated to the treatment of eating, weight and body image concerns River Oak Health and Food Mind Body. Shane is also the current treasurer and past executive member of the Australian & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders, and has served as chairperson for the eating disorder interest group of the Dietitians Association of Australia and the nutrition interest group for the Academy for Eating Disorders. With an interest in developing the workforce in the eating disorder and non-diet space, Shane teaches into dietetic degrees across four universities and provides mentoring and professional supervision to dietitians practicing in these areas. Outside of his professional life, Shane enjoys running and cycling, and his love of the outdoors sees him regularly taking camping trips with his family.
